Vintage Japanese Bijutsu Toki (美術陶器) porcelain ginger jar with original matching lid, circa 1970s.Beautiful deep cobalt blue glaze featuring an elaborate peacock surrounded by pink peonies and flowering branches, with colorful enamel and gold gilt detailing.
Bottom bears the original Bijutsu Toki / 美術陶器 / JAPAN mark, translating to “Art Ceramics” or “Fine Art Pottery.”
Approximately 8½–9" tall with lid and approximately 5" wide.
