Description
Look, I’ll be real with you—I’m not laying down show-quality stacks of dimes for a custom motorcycle build. But if you have something metal that broke and you just need it to hold together and do its job again, I can stick it back together. Grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain’t, but it’ll hold.
I run a Hobart Handler 140 MIG welder (115V). Good for mild steel up to 1/4" thick. I can run solid wire with shielding gas if we want it cleaner, or flux-core if we’re outside in the wind.
Great for the usual stuff that rattles apart:
Cracked mower decks and lawn tractor brackets
Gate hinges, latches, and fence posts
Utility trailer ramps or light brackets
Fire pits, patio furniture, garden equipment
Small custom brackets or light fab projects
You can drop the piece off with me, or I can come out to you within about 25 miles of Brookfield.
Drop-off at my place: $50 minimum. Covers setup, grinding clean metal, and up to a half-hour of torch time. If it’s a bigger project, we’ll figure out a fair rate (usually around $50/hr).
Mobile (I come to your garage/driveway): $75 minimum. As long as you have a standard 120V outlet I can plug into.
Middle-of-a-field mobile (generator power): $110 minimum. If you’re stuck out in a pasture, a barn with no juice, or the side of the road, I’ll load up the generator and bring the power with me.
Shoot me a picture of what broke along with a tape measure next to it, and I’ll tell you straight up if it’s an easy fix or if you need a heavy-duty stick welder instead.
Need something custom built from scratch?
If you need a one-off bracket, mount, or custom part designed before it gets built, I have a background in mechanical engineering and design directly in Autodesk Fusion. We can model up the part, work out the fitment, and fab it up right.
